is the reforestation and restoration of deforested areas.

One of the goals of the project was to restore a previously deforested area. In the 1980s, trees in the area were cut down to build an economic activity and the land was left exposed to the sun and rain, drying out and suffering erosion. Thousands of native tree seedlings of various species were purchased. With a mixture of compost, lime and phosphate, the seedlings were planted in prepared holes.
Many guests at Eco Lodge Salve Floresta have enthusiastically embraced a natural partnership by taking on the planting of these tree seedlings.
The following steps should be prepared for upcoming reforestation projects.
• Preparation of a map of deforested areas.
• An inventory of the region’s animals and a map of their paths.
• Identification of areas that cut off the corridors and paths of migratory animals.
• Plan the reforestation of destroyed and deforested areas with the aim of closing migratory corridors and paths.
• Collection of forest seeds. Purchase of seedlings.
• Organization of students and volunteers who wish to work in the action.
The preparation and execution of the individual details of the actions, costs, implementation and possibility of participation are currently being planned.
